Hi Jill...
yes there is a way to keep the audio going while continuing the animation. Go to CUSTOM ANIMATION by clicking on an animation, then click MULTIMEDIA SETTINGS. Then click CONTINUE SLIDE SHOW. This may require that you use one SLIDE and layer multiple images on top of each other.
